Vitamin D deficiency was defined as serum 25(OH) D concentration of less than 20ng/ml, insufficiency as 20ng/ml <25(OH) D<30 ng/ml and sufficiency was defined as 25(OH) D higher than 30 ng/ml. all the results were recorded in Microsoft excel sheet and was subjected to statistical analysis. Results: Mean vitamin D levels among the patients of the study group and control group was 16.3 ng/ml and 23.1 ng/ml respectively. While comparing the results, significant results were obtained.
