Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) is a generic term used to indicate a battery of studies or maneuvers that may be performed using standardized equipment to measure lung function. PFTs can include simple screening spirometry, formal lung volume measurement, diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide, and arterial blood gases. It is a valuable tool for evaluating the respiratory system, representing an important adjunct to the patient history, various lung imaging studies, and invasive testing such as bronchoscopy and open-lung biopsy. Patients with a history of pulmonary tuberculosis who have successfully completed treatment with complete microbiological cure and meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria and who comes to Pulmonology outpatient department were enrolled for this study after obtaining the informed and written consent. Study was approved by the institutional ethical committee. As the severity of pulmonary dysfunction increases, there was an increase in the severity of dyspnoea and the association was found to be statistically highly significant withp – value of 0.0000. As the radiological abnormalities increased from mild to severe, there was an increase in the severity of pulmonary dysfunction. The association was found to be highly significant on statistical analysis with a p – value of <0.000.
